Project: Reward King

Platform: Native Android

Our role: Android architecture, rewards features, ad and offerwall integrations, wallet workflows and fraud-resistance controls.

Reward King is a mobile rewards platform where users can earn rewards through eligible tasks, games, offers and rewarded ads. The product brings earning activity, transaction history and withdrawal options into one Android experience.

The brief was to build a production-ready app from the ground up: straightforward for users, maintainable for the development team and designed to handle abuse risks around rewards and payouts.

The challenge

A rewards app has to coordinate several systems at once. An offer may be completed through a partner network, credited to a wallet and later redeemed through a withdrawal provider. Each step needs clear rules and reliable handling.

  • Support a growing user base and high-volume activity.
  • Connect multiple advertising and offerwall networks through a consistent experience.
  • Reduce duplicate rewards, automated abuse and suspicious account activity.
  • Give users a clear wallet history and withdrawal journey.
  • Account for app-store and partner requirements as integrations evolve.

A maintainable Android foundation

We structured the native Java app around MVVM and the Repository pattern. Separating the interface, application state and data access made it easier to manage integrations and evolve features without scattering network logic throughout the app.

The interface uses a native dark-theme experience, with earning activity, wallet information and engagement features organised around everyday use.

Tasks, games and rewards

The rewards engine combines daily tasks, activity streaks and skill-based mini-games, including 2048, Tic-Tac-Toe and number puzzles. Seed-based verification supports validation of game outcomes before rewards are granted.

Referral features, Firebase Cloud Messaging notifications and a live leaderboard help keep users informed and give them reasons to return. Rewards remain subject to each task's eligibility and completion rules.

Offerwalls and ad monetisation

We integrated BitLabs, Adjoe, SpawnTap and PubScale behind a shared rewards interface. This lets the product present opportunities from different partners without making users learn a separate navigation flow for every network.

AdMob and AppLovin MAX mediation, with 8+ ad network adapters, support rewarded-video and interstitial placements. Partner integrations are distinct from guaranteed availability: offers and reward eligibility depend on the relevant network and user conditions.

Wallet and withdrawals

The wallet brings transaction history, withdrawal options and redemption flows together. The implementation supports multiple withdrawal providers, gift cards and diamond-conversion flows.

A clear transaction trail matters for both users and support staff. It helps them understand earned rewards and follow the withdrawal journey without relying only on a headline wallet balance.

Fraud-resistance controls

The implementation combines Play Integrity API signals and device-binding controls with rate limits and idempotency checks on reward-granting endpoints.

Idempotency helps prevent repeated requests from granting the same reward more than once. Device signals and activity controls add checks around suspicious usage before it reaches the payout stage. Seed-based game verification provides an additional layer for supported mini-games.

These measures reduce abuse risk; they do not eliminate every form of fraud. Ongoing monitoring and adjustments remain part of operating a rewards platform.

Configuration and release support

Remote configuration and maintenance-mode support give the operations team control over app behaviour during changes and service interruptions. Play In-App Update supports the release workflow.

This approach makes changes easier to manage without promising uninterrupted service in every situation. App-store approval and third-party policy compliance still depend on the live implementation and ongoing review.

Reported results

The project summary supplied for this case study reports:

Reward King — reported platform results
MetricReported result
Total users900,000+
Total rewards paid outUS$40,000+
Ad mediation adapters8+
Offerwall partners4

The user and payout figures are reported platform totals. They were supplied for this case study and have not been independently audited; the reporting period was not specified. They are not a promise of earnings for individual users or a measure of growth attributable solely to this engagement.

The implementation brings rewards, monetisation, engagement and payout controls into one product. The engineering focus was to support a growing platform while keeping its core workflows understandable and maintainable.

Technology used

  • Android: Native Java, MVVM and Repository architecture.
  • Networking and data: Volley, Gson and REST integrations.
